*Launching a collection point within the deposit system requires integration with a system operator. 4VS provides implementation support.

4VS reverse vending machines are designed to operate within Poland’s nationwide deposit system. We integrate them with POS systems, deposit handling systems, operator applications and settlement processes.
We provide technical and regulatory support during implementation.

4VS reverse vending machines: technology and capabilities

4VS machines combine advanced packaging recognition with high throughput and features designed to simplify daily operation. Flexible configurations make it possible to match each machine to the needs of a location, while indoor and outdoor versions offer installation options for different environments. Explore the key features of 4VS reverse vending machines.

360° container recognition

The machines use a 360° scanning system to identify containers in real time based on their barcodes (EAN-13, EAN-8, DataMatrix and QR), shape, weight, capacity (0.1–3 L) and deposit system markings. The container does not need to rotate during the process.

Compaction and sorting

Compaction makes efficient use of the machine’s collection bin capacity. Returning bottles with their caps helps improve hygiene and simplify handling. Machines accept up to 45 bottles per minute. Separate collection is available as an optional feature.

Power and connectivity

The machine requires a standard 230 V power supply. Connectivity options include LAN (Ethernet), a standard XML data interface and a built-in LTE router.

Easy to operate

Video instructions on the 17-inch display and easy access to the machine’s components make cleaning and maintenance straightforward. The machine can also be emptied quickly and easily.

Customisation

The machine can be finished in a RAL colour of your choice. The LED lighting around the intake opening can also be customised.

Thermal printer

The printer includes an integrated cutter, paper holder and paper-end sensor. It issues a receipt, and any uncollected receipts are automatically retracted into the machine to prevent littering.

Outdoor version

The machine is equipped for outdoor use, with features such as a canopy, seals and a heating system to support reliable operation in varying weather conditions.

Nationwide service network

A network of service points across Poland enables a quick response to faults, helps minimise downtime and supports reliable machine operation.
